After a brief struggle with osteosarcoma, Ellie succumbed to this condition. She had been working at a children's hospital as a therapy dog for several months. She is deeply missed by her family and her many friends, both human and canine. Ellie lived a long and exciting life, filled with many adventures. Her mom, Felice, gave her a wonderful home, filled with so many interesting activities, including dog shows, therapy dog work, walks alongs her favorite wash and of course her best friend Daisy.
During her life, Ellie earned her Temperament title. This title is very difficult to achieve. Read more about this test at http://www.atts.org/
Ellie also achieved the RAE title. The RAE title means that a dog has obtained a qualifying score in both Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent at the SAME dog show TEN times. This is a really difficult title for any dog to achieve, but Felice and Ellie set out to get the title and they certainly achieved that goal.
I know we will see Ellie again and that she is with her parents and some siblings.
