Ernie, it has been almost a year since you left
this world (June 30, 2007). We miss you so much
and although we won't see you again until we
meet at the Bridge, we know you are still around
us!! WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU E-MAN!!!! MOM AND
GRANDMA THINK OF YOU EVERY DAY!!! You may be
gone from this world, but you will NEVER be
forgotten!!! We miss your sweet ways, the way
you loved to hunt for kibble in your bankie, the
way you buried your head in the couch so that we
could better scratch your tummy and neck, and
how you gave just one or two quick kisses and
then you whapped us with your big paw so we'd
scratch you some more. Untill we meet again my
dear boy we have your memories to keep you in
our hearts.....
We can finally announce the very sad news
that we lost our very dear boy Ernie (CH Iron
Hills Tub Thumping) on June 30, 2007. Ernie was
born October 9, 1997 (same birthday as my
father) and was a wonderful dog. I miss Ernie
very much every day, and we continue to feel his
presence around the house. Ernie made many
friends throughout his life and was known as a
truly special guy. Ernie had a wonderful sense
of humor and loved his special foods and toys
and most of all, his special girl Whitney Lynn.
Ernie was also a fabulously well put together
dog, who was impeccably sound all through his
life. He was absolutely stunning, just like a
fine wine or intricate piece of artwork. Showing
Ernie as a veteran during the last two years of
his life was priceless; I wouldn't trade those
memories for anything. Hearing people's comments
about how nice it was to see an older Mastiff in
the ring, how wonderful Ernie moved, and that
beautiful face of his, are all very precious
memories. Ernie moved some people at the shows
to tears when he charged around the ring so
proudly and with such a regal air about him. I
always treated him like he was a living piece of
art when I showed him as a veteran, and he
always responded and gave his all when he
showed. We never know how long we or any of our
dogs will be on this earth, and I had no idea
that the March 2007 shows would be Ernie's last
shows. Luckily, Ernie's grandma and many of his
friends were at these shows to cheer him on and
to give him high five's when he came out of the
ring.
REST IN PEACE MY DEAR BOY--WE LOVE YOU AND MISS
YOU!!!
