A lesson in French…Laurent, pronounced La-Roe…named after the French designer Yves Saint Laurent… May 15, 2009 CH Goldenfyre’s Comicbook Hero X Gothic BonBon by BriteStar Laurent is difficult to describe in words, and we are very biased because we think so much of this young boy. Similar to his brother Zander, Laurent is an absolutely correct puppy out of our Jilly and Marvel litter. His name came about because when he was a newborn puppy, he had a little white goatee under his chin and so he reminded us of a Frenchman. He acts like a Frenchman too, because he is one of the Kissiest boys ever!! He loves to kiss everybody and is everyone’s friend. In fact, Laurent has not met a stranger, and adapts very well to all types of people and situations. Although he had a bumpy start in the show ring because he didn’t want to carry his head up in the air, he pretty quickly came out of that stage and now carries his head high like a true showman. Laurent has incredible bone and substance and reminds us of his daddy Marvel in so many ways, especially his headpiece. He has been described by our good friend Jen as having “soulful eyes” and she is right, one look from Laurent, and your heart will melt. In addition to his beautiful eyes, Laurent has absolutely stunning movement, especially for such a big and young puppy. At less than one year old and having participated in only five sets of dog shows, Laurent already has one major win, multiple winners dog wins, and one reserve winners dog win completely breeder owner handled! We are extremely proud of Laurent!!
